Flipped Learning Certification Level - I

Flipped Learning Global Initiative | taught by Jon Bergmann

Course description

The Flipped Classroom movement is sweeping the world. Passionate educators have embraced the model and have been implementing it for over a decade. Flipped Learning has shown great promise and potential, but there have also been several pitfalls. There are a myriad of ways that flipped learning can be compromised by bad practice, inappropriate technology, and poor execution. To that end, the Flipped Learning Global Initiative (FLGI), a worldwide coalition of educators, researchers, technologists, professional development providers and education leaders, has created this Flipped Learning Certification Program. When you complete this course you will be Flipped Learning Certified Level - I.

This course has given me the chance to learn more strategies in relation to the model's foundations and the different perspectives around it. I truly agree with the idea that the flipped classroom model generates more time in the classroom. It's up to us to get the most of it.

Flipped classroom certification

It will take an effort to build up a flipped classroom for grade 9 to 12. However, Mr. Bergmann taught me how to do it! I am truly thankful to have a chance to listen to him in person in FlipCon in Taipei. It was a wonderful experience and now I have taken the Certification Level-1 course to find out all the nitty-gritty of flipped classroom. I like the concise and factual nature of his videos. But, most importantly, the sincerity of his enthusiasm. This is a great course and I would recommend to my colleagues!

The FL Course

by Hjalmar Arnason
This is far the best way for educators to learn about the FC/FL process. Not only the philosophy behind it, but not less the pracitalities. Thansk to Jon for creating this and making our access to the FL easier.
